Fish Kofta - Recipe in Urdu

Ingredients

  • Fish 500 grams
  • Lemon Juice 2 tsp
  • Chopped Garlic 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Carom Seeds ¼ tsp
  • Tara Gram Masala 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder ½ tsp
  • Green Onion ¼ cup
  • Bread Slice 1-2
  • Turmeric 1 pinch

For Gravy:

  • Oil ½ cup
  • Yogurt ¼ cup
  • Onion Sliced 1
  • Chopped Green Coriander 2 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tsp
  • Tara Gram Masala 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Tomato 1
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp

Method


  1. Marinate fish with all ingredients and blend in food processor.
  2. Take it out in the bowl and make balls (kofta) and place them in a plate.
  3. For gravy 
  4. Heat oil in the pan and fry onion until it turns light golden in colour.
  5. Now add tomato, ginger garlic paste and all spices.
  6. When onion and tomatoes get softer, add koftay very carefully and then add 1 to 1-1/4 cups of water and cook it on a low flame.
  7. When gravy gets thicker and the koftay are ready, dish out.
  8. You can garnish it with green coriander and ginger.
  9. Now your Fish Kofta Masala is ready to be served as a main course. Serve it with naan or chapati.
