Lemon Achar Recipe

Ingredients

  • Lemon ½ kilo gram
  • White Vinegar 1 cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Nigella Seeds 1 tsp
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Green Chili 10
  • Red Chili Powder 2 tbsp
  • White Cumin 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1 tbsp
  • Salt (as required)
  • Black Mustard Seeds 2 tbsp

Method


  1. Wash ½ kg lemons and then dry. Cut all the lemons in 4 pieces.
  2. Add 1 cup white vinegar, 10 green chilies, ½ cup sugar, 1 tbsp white cumin, 1 tsp nigella seeds, 1 tbsp turmeric, 2 tbsp black mustard seeds, 2 tbsp red chili powder, and salt.
  3. Mix all ingredients (mentioned above) well and leave them for about half an hour.
  4. Heat 1 of cup oil in a pan, cook marinated lemons for around 5 minutes and wait for them to cool.
  5. Now Lemon Achar is ready to be served.
